Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Free Motion Quilting a Sampler »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Romantic, Classic

Materials

Cotton fabric, polyester wadding and thread.

What was your inspiration?

Amy Butler's 2012 BOM course and Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting a Sampler course. I've learnt so much, even if I'm not very good at it yet!

What are you most proud of?

Negotiating around the little bit of English Paper Piecing that I put in the middle with the FMQ. I did wonder if I'd made a mistake in adding that, but it seems to have worked out okay.

Thank you. I thought the middle was a bit bare, and that's why I put the little flowery-thingy in it.

I like your little hexes is the middle. They really had dimension and texture to a very blank area. Super FMQ!

Thank you so much! The FMQ looks a lot better in the photo than it actually is, but it's all a learning curve and (hopefully) I'll get better at it!
