I like this one especially! The rounded "petals" adds a nice touch. What kind of batting did you use in your quilt? It seems a bit loftier than cotton.

Thanks. It's "Warm and Natural" brand batting which I think is 80% cotton/20% polyester. It's actually fairly thin. I think it looks puffy because of the way the sun was hitting it when I took the pictures. Created more depth and shadow than is really there.

Oh thanks for the info. I use that warm and natural a lot myself. Looks like you quilted each block individually. My blocks are so different from each other. It will be hilarious when I try to put everything together. Some of them might get kicked off the team.

Are you asking if I did the "quilt as you go" thing? If so, then no. I sewed the whole quilt top together and sandwiched it all before quilting, but then I did just concentrate on one block at a time. I didn't really think all my blocks would go together into one cohesive quilt until added the sashing. Somehow that really tied it all together.

I love what you did with the center, that is always the one thing I do not like about this block, is the center. But you did it. love it.

Thanks. I was happy that the spiral came out so smooth and evenly. I did the same spiral in the center of the other dresden plate block and it is not nearly as pretty. Luckily the fabric on that one is so busy it camouflages the stitching. :-)
