What materials did you use? 100%cotton: fabric. Gutermanns thread, Warm & Natural batting, 505 Basting Spray

What are you most proud of? Happy I could create all the little blocks into larger combos to simplify this layout.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Think ahead a bit on layout and colors since this quilt layout is so irregular. Makes it difficult for continuity.

Beautiful. I am also doing red white and black - still working on final layout...a challenge.

Thank you! Great results with that combo. Which is your background color? The layout was extremely tricky because every block being a different size. Good luck.

I really like how it turned out...I think the use of red, white, and black was a brilliant choice to tie it all together.

Thank you! I really wanted to try that combo and now I have a striking wall hanging to say the least. It even fits well in my country home well.

Beautiful job!

Thanks so much. I think a BW&R quilt in any pattern would be a striking hit! :-)

Love to make this for my grandsons bed

I would follow a different pattern since block sizes here are so scattered. Maybe that great big LeMoyne Star would look good repeated 3 across & 4 down or as a center with some other blocks around it. I think its a 17.5" or is it an 18" block?

This is a real triumph Bev, I'm so impressed with your star especially it looks perfect, (I thought your quilt was part of the advert for the BOM) I only realised when I saw your name, which I spotted in my 2012 starter class, Well Done You.

Thanks so much! Have you finished yours yet? Post it for sure! I'm now making a flannel (Windham Fabrics "Essex" red collection ). Bought from Craftsy. The pattern I'm following is called "Patchwork Life." The BW & R is a wallhanging since it's square. Now for something cozy!
