This is my first tatting project ever! I've knitted and crocheted for many years, but tatting was always "The Final Frontier" for me. I'm so happy to finally be learning. You're a great teacher! I discovered that black thread is not ideal for a beginning project. It's really hard to see the stitches. I have Lizbeth thread on order. Can't wait!

These look really good. The black has such a Classic look to it. You did a very nice job on these. I am making another pair in Lizbeth color Silver and using a drop style bead. I think it's looking pretty good so far. I also finished the Classic Edge bracelet and am going to make another one in the Silver to go with the earrings. I am same as you - I already knit and crochet, I also sew. I've been wanting to learn tatting for ages. I inherited a box of tatting supplies that has been passed down through the family - nobody has ever wanted to learn to do it except for me. I've had that box for several years before I finally found this class. My mother is so happy that I am using that box she passed down to me!
