Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Cotton blend tweed fabric and polka dot lining. The braid is rayon based 1/2 inch width. The fronts and backs are interfaced completely with iron-on fusible. Pattern for the body is V8804, modified to include back side panels for a more curved backside. The sleeves are my own 2-piece pattern, with mock vent.

What are you most proud of? The mock sleeve vent- my first, and, of course, matching the "plaid".

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Get a good thimble and work with a fine needle. The amount of hand-work in this project will have you begging for a quality needle and fingertip protection.

I am LOVING your jacket!!! I have started watching, but not yet 'doing' this class. I am in Hong Kong right now and shopping for the tweed I want to use. I found a white similar, without the plaid, but also found another gorgeous tweed I am considering using. SUPERB JOB!!!! I will make sure to get 5 yes. One fabric I chose I only got 3 yds - I am thinking that I would not really have enough - considering the matching and waste factor. Thanks for posting!!!
