What materials did you use? Bits and Pieces: Scraps of Coarse Weave Upholstery Fabric with Leaf Design paired with margins of Faux Leather Alligator Upholstery Fabric. Interior Scrap of Gold and Rust Brocade. Tassle and Bead Zipper Pull, 7" London Tan Zipper. Magnetic Snap Closure in Bronze.

What are you most proud of? I didn't have enough color consistent fabric to make the interior lining, but . . . I had an almost big enough piece of rust/gold brocade. I was short 6 more inches to make the lining I needed. Then I thought about it a while, and decided to extend the length of the bottom of the brocade using another scrap of tan/brown grass cloth patterned fabric. It worked great! See photo of the extended lining

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be discouraged if you don't have enough fabric. Improvise by sewing it to another piece of fabric to make it work. "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" I don't know who wrote that, but they were absolutely right on.

Hi Shoestring! I would love to see your house!!! I usually go up there with some girlfriends for a girls weekend in July or August. I bet is a sight to see!! Perhaps we can meet for lunch. I would love to see your studio! I know where the Hancock fabrics in Stevens Point is. I was hoping you would tell me there is a quilt shop somewhere around there. There used to be on in downtown Wapaca but it has been gone awhile now. Last year i took my friends to the red mill on K do you know where that is?? It the old mill on the crystal river. I think its so peaceful and pretty. I have not been able to sew:( but have a few bags in the works. These classes are so good! In a few days I have seen there will be a nw one by Carol Doaks on paper piecing..Keep on sewing! I have no idea how you have time between restoring a house and sewing!

Hi artangel. Can you leave me a clue how I can find your etsy shop on line? Regarding the hauntings in the house . . . ahhhh, that would be correct . . . many, many stories to tell you about our house spirits who are quite clever and funny, not scary.
