Materials

I made this birthday explosion box for my daughter in laws birthday. A little gift will be added to one of the pockets. I used K & Co double sided card stock for the box and lid. On the lid I used Tim Holtz distressed dies including using them on the flower on the box top which is made from a coffee filter. Inside are three layers of card stock. I made the little birthday cake using chip board and covering it with paper, ribbon, pearls and stickles. The butterflies that float are from K & Co....I adhered them to the small plastic strips found in embellishment packages that embellishments are stuck to. there are three layers all decorated on each side, including some pockets which I have placed some decorated tags and will include a money gift in one of them

What was your inspiration?

I saw this video on you tube and thought it was so cute...my daughter in laws birthday is coming and wanted to make it for her.

What are you most proud of?

I like the way the little cake came out that I built from scratch
