What are you most proud of?
Although the fans don't really look like fans, the effect was still great. And mostly I'm just proud of getting it finished before the guests arrived!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Follow Alice's advice about making the cake exactly. I actually had to bake the cake layers twice because the first time they came out horrible and gummy. I made a second batch this afternoon, following Alice's instructions exactly and it was much better.
