Cut the card to be 12x5 3/4. Fold in half for and lop off a the to make the card 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 to fit into an envelope 6x6. Use a bone folder to make the fold crisp.
For this card I used Color Magic cardstock and colored it using Dried Marigold Distress Inks and a foam blending tool.
Ink the edges only with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
To make the cake plate (you could skip this step). Ink the largest cake plate stamp (Pink Paislee/House of 3's Daily Junque Clear Stamps) with Embossing Distress Ink. Sprinkle with Orange Zing embossing powder and melt with heat gun.
To make the cake: Using 3 different decorative card stocks. Cut one as follows: 2 1/2 x 1; 2 1/4 x 1, and 2x1. Ink edges with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and blending tool. Apply cake layers to cake table.
To make the frosting: Apply Adhesive Rhinestone strips between the layers. To make them fit better I often remove the large end stone, place the strip down and reattach the large stone so each end is book-ended with a large stone.
Pile any extra stones on the top of the cake as a topper.

I had purchased the rhinestone strips and didn't know what to do with them . One day it struck me that they looked like decorative icing.
