Marina Sousa's Advanced Fondant Techniques class--candles, bows, curlicues, pearls, and ribbon roses...
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that the cake closely resembled the design that I created and that my daughter loved it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't try to pick up the curlicues until they are completely dry. Also, try to be sure that your skewer is centered into your candle; otherwise, the candles will tilt. Be sure to dip the skewers and wires into sugar glue before inserting them into your fondant decorations.
