Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Traditional, Funky

Materials

Assorted black and white fat quaters and Kona Cotton Red and White solids

What was your inspiration?

I saw a photo of a similar quilt but couldn't find a pattern so I winged it!

What are you most proud of?

This is my second quilt and it was made for my husband. He loves it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Sew your strips together in alternating directions and don't press until the entire block is completed.
Also cut your red strips length of fabric instead of width. I made 6 blocks trying different methods before I got the strips to stay straight.

Wonderful choice of fabrics for this pattern. I really like this. Now I know I'm going to have to use a black-white-red color scheme one of these days myself.

Amazing job for only your second quilt! Love the way you pieced the blocks and the resulting chevron pattern. I'm also drawn to your use of the black/white/red as I have purchased fabrics in those colors for a quilt for my son. I have yet to decide on a pattern, but yours in the best I've seen. Well done!
