I saw alot of these earring being sold online all over so I thought I would try to make some myself. I threaded 3 pearls onto the wire and left a few inches from the end to twist the wire together with to form a triangle with the pearls. I used 6mm potato pearls for the white "eggs", 3mm freshwater pearls for the blue "eggs, but you can use round pearls too. 5 feet of 24g wire for the white egg nest and 26g wire for the blue egg nest.
What was your inspiration?
I saw these earrings on Etsy.com and other places so I decided to try and make them. I think they are adorable. I get alot of compliments on them when I wear them, especially on this last Easter Sunday! People want to buy them right off of my ears! And so it goes..so many projects...so little time!
What are you most proud of?
After I learned how to work with wire and make my own earring hooks in the wire-wrapped class on craftsy, Im not afraid to make anything!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just go for it! Its art...there are no rules! I was thinking of making a nest with 3 different colored eggs for next Easter Sunday!
