What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics, dye markers, oil pastels, acrylic paints.

What are you most proud of? That I made it work - that I captured the scene in fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start with something simpler and smaller, look for the right fabrics because they don't come around often. I really recommend buying at least 1/4 yard pieces of lots of different landscape fabrics. This way you have them available when the inspiration hits.

Cathy: This is beautiful. All of your landscape quilts are just gorgeous. Do you use pre printed fabric? I think you should teach a class on your techniques. Love your work.

Actually, I have used preprinted fabrics. I just cut them up and rearrange them. :) Thanks for the compliments!

I read the other comments now, I am sorry I asked such a stupid question about pre printed fabric. I am going to look for your book on amazon.

You should be able to find the old one for pretty cheap, lol. It wasn't a stupid question - I do use them when I can find a good one. :)

I didn't find your book on Amazon. Any other places you know of where I can check to purchase it?

I just checked and it is there - available from other sellers. It is called Watercolor Landscape Quilts. :)
