What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics, dye markers, oil pastels, acrylic paints.

What are you most proud of? That I made it work - that I captured the scene in fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start with something simpler and smaller, look for the right fabrics because they don't come around often. I really recommend buying at least 1/4 yard pieces of lots of different landscape fabrics. This way you have them available when the inspiration hits.

Thank you! My college degree is in Art History, but I've had no formal art training. I've been quilting for 25? years now and am finally figuring out how to make what I like, I've bought a few technique books over the years and when I have a scene in my head, I can find ways to put it in fabric, It takes a while to get to this point though. Thank you for writing and for the compliments. :)

Do you teach any landscape classes with your technique online?

Not yet I'm sorry. My first book is going out of print and is available for less than 3 dollars on amazon now though. It will show you how to put together a landscape from squares of fabric, and there is a project showing you how to make birch trees. :)
