All of my aprons start with a piece of fabric and then I create a design to suit. I wish I knew how to turn some of these designs into patterns that others could use.
that's exactly the way I start out...no patterns....make my own designs....contact a photographer doing vintage style photo shoots...one contacted me and bought one of my aprons...see it on my blog...www.cabinfever228.blogspot.com...who knows...
The real pleasure does come from working on a design and creating something unique. I'll definitely check out your blog! The first year I retired I sold close to 50 of my aprons at craft shows and by word of mouth, but I really didn't want the pressure of turning it into a business. I still make a lot of aprons, but now I make them for fun in between my quilts projects, as special requests for friends, or for gifts.
