What was your inspiration?
I've been asked many times to design a bear that is easier to knit and construct. This design has the legs and body knitted as one piece, so is a quick knit and easier to construct.
I was also asked for outfits for a bear, this pattern comes complete with outfits for boy or girl bear. As it sits and stands its very easy for children to dress and undress.
What are you most proud of?
Designing the legs and body as one piece. I also wanted to have a space between the top of the legs so I could get a big tummy in, I think I achieved this successfully.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you haven't worked with faux fur before perhaps knit a Big Bear in a plain yarn first, to get a feel for the pattern. You will still achieve a very sweet bear.
