What was your inspiration?
I have been asked many times to design a bear that can be dressed and to design a wardrobe of outfits for the bear. Big Bear is the result. He can sit and stand, he's still very lovable and he/she will have a wardrobe full of outfits to be dressed up in.
These include: Bloomers (bears just don't look good in knickers) pinafore dress and cardigan. Jogging trousers, sweater and nice chunky hooded jacket.
What are you most proud of?
I've put a lot of work into this bear and designed him in such a way that he has a gap at the top of his legs where they meet his body. So many toys/bears knitted in this manner don't have any space and look knocked knee'd.
Designing outfits is new to me, I usually design creatures not clothes :-) But I had fun!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Enjoy it!
