I ended up doing a small cap sleeve instead of the actual sleeve. I like the versatility of it, can be worn like a vest with a long sleeve shirt, or like a sweater with a cami under it. Turned out a bit larger than I needed because I was unable to do a swatch beforehand, but it worked out well. Now my mom will get a great Mother's Day present!!!

Beautiful! Did you use the regular simply soft or the light? Was thinking about using this yarn as well. Was it easy to work with? Great job & love the cap sleeve as well.

Thank you!!! I can't wait to give it to my mom so I can take a picture of it on. It looks silly on me lol. I used the regular simply soft. It was very easy to work with. One of my favorite yarns actually!!! I definitely recommend doing a blocked swatch beforehand though so you get the right sizing :) I am going to make another one for me but I am going to use cotton instead. I loved the simply soft and this is super soft, but I want to try cotton for me.

Awesome! I'm having a very hard time using the Cotton Tape yarn (it keeps twisting) What size (xs, s, m, etc) did you make for this cardi in the Simply Soft? Thanks :)

Thanks!!! I did the 2X and it fits my mom perfectly. The caron simple soft makes it a very heavy sweater but I like the way it drapes. I'm making a second one now for me and I am using Lily Sugar and Cream cotton yarn. I'm liking it better to use so far.
