What was your inspiration?

The Lion Brand pattern

What are you most proud of?

Um...that I tweaked it to fit the height and width I wanted? But that's no big deal, really. I guess I'm most proud that I finished it, then made one for a lady at church AND one for charity!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun with it--you'll love the squishy stitch!

I have followed the link but it doesn't appear to be the same scarf. Am I doing something wrong?

Okay, I see what it is. It's the exact same pattern name (and actually the same pattern, really) except it uses a different yarn. Here is the link to the one that uses Tweed Stripes yarn: http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternView.fcgi?itemKey=1922246225

Thank you! It's so squishy, and I loved watching how the colors subtly changed.

Okay! I checked this out this morning, and it looks like I did NOT tweak it very much. I must have confused it with the two cowls I did after this one (one for a friend, the other for charity). I crochet loosely, so it looks like I had 42 stitches and 70 rows to get this particular cowl. (I remember making the other two differently: one with fewer stitches because the lady was very petite & didn't want it too wide, and the other one was only slightly narrower--maybe 37 stitches--and longer--maybe 80ish rows). Sorry for any confusion! :)

Yes! I will post them tomorrow! So glad you like it. That yarn is just perfect for the stitch pattern.

I went back to it and counted it all up...and barely tweaked it at all! (Think I mixed it up with the 2 I made for other people right after I made this. They were petite women, so I just made theirs slightly narrower and shorter.)

Yes! I didn't write them down (I now do in a wee notebook so I can replicate something exactly), but it is such a simple thing, I am sure I can count out my stitches and have the tweaks posted in my "comments" tomorrow!
