I used 3 generations of wedding dresses and a brides made dress to complete this project
What was your inspiration?
I made a quilt of pieces of wedding dresses from the brides family...I used dresses from her mother and both grandmothers. The lavender/purple were the colors in her wedding and came from a brides maid dress.
What are you most proud of?
I was very nervous using vintage dresses, but it turned out just beautiful. The bride and groom loved it!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I planned every cut so that I didn't completely destroy the vintage dresses. In one case you can't tell that I had taken peices from it.
