What was your inspiration?
My daughter and I looked at many wedding dresses online, in magazines and in stores. The final result was a combination of the elements that she liked the best from her favorites.
What are you most proud of?
The hand sewn beadwork on the bodice was done by a very good friend of mine. She did a beautiful job and spent many, many hours to make it look so beautiful. I loved how the ruffles on the back turned out and how well it all came together blending all the elements that my daughter was looking for in her wedding dress.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure you allow plenty of time for a project like this. Be willing to eat, sleep, and dream wedding dress for at least 4-6 weeks. A dress form was essential as was much patience and willingness to sew, rip out, and sew again until the desired results were accomplished.
