This was a one off, made to measure wedding dress. I will be happy to show step by step instruction of what was done. The pattern was cut on the stand and boning channels made for both steel and rigilene bones. The mix of fabrics for the finished look were personal to the project and client.Difficulty:

Duchess satin, hemp/silk blend, metallic silk organza fabrics. Rigilene boning, venitian lace and cotton coutil.
What was your inspiration?
I wanted a modern twist on a traditionally inspired dress. I designed around the criteria of elegance, black and white, fully boned and long!
What are you most proud of?
I made this in America and the client was in the UK. So this had to fit like a glove on the first and last fitting - her wedding day! It did!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Spend your time on creating your pattern. The success of this project is due to the foundation of the garment.
