I used a crochet thread weight in a satin microfiber.
What was your inspiration?
During a chat session with my sister-in-fiber Michelle Arellano, from Dainty Loops, we started dreaming of a crocheted wedding gown. She kept motivating me to do it, and I believed that her idea would be at least a major challenging.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I was able to show this gown at the Crochet Guild of America Annual Conference and the feedback I received from the celebrity crochet designers and the audience was overwhelming and fantastic.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I would say... give yourself enough time to complete a large project like this. I underestimated the amount of time this would require and I had to complete this project in 3 weeks. There were times I thought I was not going to make in time for the fashion show, but luckily I did.
