Caron 1 lb Yarn (1 ball) in Purple. Marilyn Sweater pattern by gormet crochet, Sew on button, snap, fabric for lining, ribbon, matching thread.
What was your inspiration?
I get inspired by mid century clothing all the time. I love the hollywood glamour look from pin-ups. I loved that this sweater was classic but had sex appeal all in one. I really like things that are detailed and you know took a long time and effort to make.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time. The gourmet pattern runs big. Normally I am a xl-xxl and I wear a large in this even though I followed all measurements and gauges.
The purse was a simple bag pattern I made up as I went along after my sister told me she wanted a similar sewn purse. I used my leftovers to make her a crochet version.
