What materials did you use? Undress - silk satin lined with cotton sateen, beads, metallic thread, sewing thread. Overdress - silk organza with glittery pattern, braid, sewing thread.
What are you most proud of? I loved the way the overdress made the train in back. This was my first wedding dress, Not sure whether I'll ever do another one, but I was very honored that the bride loved the dress - that was the most important thing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start earlier, so you're not finishing the hem of the overdress on the train on your way to the wedding! We got the fabric in August and the wedding was in October. I wish I'd been able to keep the overdress from slipping off her shoulders - I think it was because of the slipperiness of the satin. If I did this design again, I'd point the bride towards crepe for the underdress.
