Materials

Tulle, faux pearl strands, fabric flowers, pearlescent paint, swarovski crystals, plastic hair comb

What was your inspiration?

I'm getting married to my wonderful fiancee Jimmy in June of 2013! I have always had a unique sense of style, and I love flowers!

What are you most proud of?

This was a lot of work! The flowers were plain white when I bought them. I painted them with pearlescent ivory craft paint. I glued a Swarovski crystal to the center of each one. I hand sewed the flowers to the edges of the veil. I hand sewed strands of ivory faux pearls to make "vines" connecting the flowers.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do it in steps- Figure out how many flowers you will use, then paint them all, then let them dry. Then glue on the crystals. Let the glue dry and hand sew them. Once you have all the flowers on, hand sew the pearl strands. Don't try to do the whole thing in one day! This type of project is best done over the course of a few days.
