What was your inspiration?

My mom buying yarn and telling me I had to make a blanket for her friend's baby shower.

What are you most proud of?

I finished it with about 5 days to spare, which meant I could wash it and get it nice and soft before giving it to the mommy-to-be.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a pretty easy pattern and one that doesn't require too much concentration, but some is necessary so you don't skip a stitch or add one too many in the wrong spot. If you do that, it'll screw the whole thing up, and you may not even notice until several rows later.
