What materials did you use? 100% Alpaca DK yarn

What are you most proud of? Conquering my fear of lace - it really is very simply YOs and decreases. NOTHING else! Can you believe??? And to top it off, if you make mistakes, the garment has so many 'holes' anyway, that any mistakes simply disappear in the lace.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used 100% alpaca yarn and that is about as 'hairy' a yarn as I would recommend. Can't imagine how difficult this project would be using mohair. Go for it! Don't be afraid to make mistakes.

This is beautiful! I love everything about it, the colour is great and the lacy bit looks so lovely. Very inspiring, thanks for sharing :)

Oh my goodness this is beautiful! Question, do you think this class is too advanced for a beginner?

05/21/2013 Flag

I apologise for taking so long to reply. No this class is PERFECT for a beginner. As long as you know how to knit a 'knit' stitch you will be off and running. Myra will show you how to do everything else. Have fun :)

Jazzee, Beautiful. How many inches under the arm did you start your lace pattern? I really like the look.

Hi Corinne. I started the lace straight away.
