What was your inspiration?
The girl I designed this for wanted to have a Beauty and the Beast-inspired gown for a play we were in together. I designed it based on photos from the Broadway musical. I used a Renaissance dress as the base, dropping the empire waist, repositioning the sleeves, and adding several layers of skirts, including one layer with ruching.
What are you most proud of?
The dress itself! I think it turned out beautifully :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Really know how to manipulate patterns.
