What was your inspiration?

The book - these little gift dolls are only about 7 inches tall and take next to no time to make. Jean Greenhowe's Little Gift Dolls gives patterns for 18 different dolls, and the Bell-Boy is a nice one to make and give when saying "Congratulations" or "Well Done" to someone. I've made little nurses for people in hospital, 5 jelly babies in different colours to help my granddaughter to learn her colours (many years ago), a rather large and well-nourished looking fairy as a Christmas decoration and a chef with a birthday cake with a "candle" on it. There's something for lots of occasions and, although I've designated this as being for children, grown-ups love them as well.

What are you most proud of?

Nothing really - he was very easy and quick to make.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use bright colours and, as I've said before, stuff, stuff, stuff!
