Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. This is an exercise in Lesson 5 of Portraits in Watercolour. This is the initial stage of the full portrait, done only in Burnt Sienna with light washes. Drawn directly with brush (no pencil sketch).

My biggest difficulty here was gauging the width of the face; it came out too broad on a first try, and you can see my attempts at cutting down the right edge a bit. How does it look now?
