Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Whimsical, Casual

Materials

Fabric and batting

What was your inspiration?

We offer a beginning quilting class (in my studio) and wanted to offer one that was even more basic (for those who were intimidated by all the cutting). So I designed this pattern/class for them. I'm fairly new to quilting, so I completely understood what they were going through. The pattern is a hit - and we've got a big, new group of quilters!

What are you most proud of?

That some of the women who have made it have made lots more. One even adjusted the pattern to put blocks in the the corner of the border!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time - and pin!

I love this quilt. I tend to like the uncomplicated patchwork. Keep teaching, quilting is a wonderful hobbie.

Thanks! One of my favorite books is Elizabeth Hartman's, The Practical Guide to Patchwork." Her website has some wonderful free patterns. - http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/quilt-patterns.html
