What was your inspiration?

I was wanting a fun BOM this year...this is only the first one that I have started. I'm thinking I may do this in a different color way also, just for fun, I'm enjoying the blocks.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I have made some recommendation on my blog site for changes to her instructions, just based on my own personal experience. www.sisterofthedivide.blogspot.com

I like using a glue stick rather than pins, I also like scotch tape rather than pins. Just my personal preference.

OK, you've sold me on this BOM! Now I have to scrounge through all my leftovers & orphan fabrics to do this one. I think I'll go really scrappy. You are an bad influence - like I need another project! But your fabrics are great! I also am a glue stick & painter's tape user.

I love this fabric line. It will definitely be a very feminine quilt when finished.

I ran out of gas in November with the BOM. I need to get busy again! I purchased a year's worth of KC Star blocks (I'm from there) and would really like to work on those blocks... as always, you are an inspiration!

I really like the blocks you've posted so far. It looks like you're on to something fun. I'm afraid that I'm too timid to do a BOM unless I know what the final quilt we look like. I'm hearing a lot about glue sticks lately and I'm definitely going to try using one on my current project.

The final quilt will look exactly as you want it to look, your fabric choices, right? It's about having fun and enjoying the anticipation of the next month's project, without it all being so overwhelming...eating an elephant one bite at a time.

That's very insightful. Maybe I'll have to rethink this.
