Isn't it great to have a quilting community to help and encourage each other? Thanks for your comment.

OMG the quilting really does make a difference. Both quilts are darling, but the extra quilting adds so much more interest that it's hard to quit looking at it... And that caterpillar is to die for! so cute

Thanks, Karen....I had so much fun creating that little guy. I think the beads on his little face gave him a personality.

This is a wonderful inspiration...I'm just about to start a small baby quilt,) ESS and all, but since it's an Amish Diamond in a Square, not so much ESS, and more fun stuff). ...and I just started watching Cindy's class yesterday! Thank you for the Before and After, makes it even cleared WHY ESS works! Great to have a learning community finally! xoxoxo!

Thank you...you'll learn so much from Cindy's clear instructions and prepare yourself for possibly waking up in the middle of the night to get back to the computer to watch yet another segment. ; )

How cool is this??? I love the cathedral window and the scribbling. You've added texture and dimension both at the same time and your wonderful applique and caterpillar creature really stand out. Great job!!! :)

Both quilts are lovely, but the details quilting of the "after" projects provides so much texture and complexity. I love Cindy's class and her techniques are fantastic - especially for smaller quilts. I don't think, though, that I'd want to spend that much time and energy on my larger quilts.

They are too darling for words. The before block is beautiful . The after is so much more unusual and special.
