Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Romantic

Materials

180 grit sandpaper with palm sander, foam roller, all surface bond primer/sealer, Benjamin Moore Aura Satin finish paint, and glass hardware from Lee Valley.

What was your inspiration?

Blue and white bedroom featured in a home decor magazine.

What are you most proud of?

Breathing new life into an otherwise discarded piece of furniture.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Always work with the grain of the wood when sanding and painting! Aura paint dries quickly so don't over roll.

Thanks! This was pre-milk and chalk paint discovery. If I were to do it now, it definitely would be antiqued with either of those products.

You are inspiring! I have a dresser in my basement, that is great storage but not attractive. think I will try some paint and new pulls.
