Knit Original Cuff-Down Socks taught by Donna Druchunas

Warm, cozy and cute that's what your feet will be when you put them in hand-knit socks. Inspired, happy and proud that's how you'll feel when you're the one who knit them by hand.

What are you most proud of? This was the first time I included a pattern stitch in my socks!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep a good track of your rows when knitting the pattern stitch. It's easy to get distracted, so don't do this while watching TV!

Hi mgm. The pattern stitch is available in the course materials for Donna's "cuff-down socks" course on www.craftsy.com. Are you enrolled?

I used the same pattern. I love how it looks on your socks. The pattern just disappeared on mine, and my yarn is too soft so it really stretches at the holes. But I love yours, it's what I hoped mine would look like.

Hi Owlsea, thanks so much for your kind comments. I understand the frustration when a project doesn't turn out the way you want. As for the holes, my tip would be to give the yarn a wee tug when working yarnovers. My yarn was soft too, but that was ok as they were meant to be bed socks. Good luck with your next project.
