Step 1: Using latex primer and paint brush cover entire surface.
Step 2: Once primer is dry, apply 1-2 coats of latex paint.
Step 3: Once paint is dry dab Antique Gold Crafters Paint onto a crumpled piece of cheese cloth and remove excess paint onto a piece of cardboard.

Latex primer, white pain, antique gold crafters paint, satin Verathane, cheese cloth, and foam brush.

What was your inspiration?

I bought this table for $35.00 at a discount store. It was stained dark brown. I loved the swan detail on the legs and knew if it was painted, those details would pop.

What are you most proud of?

Recently I saw the same table featured in a home decor magazine and the designer had the same vision for her table as I did, minus the distressed look.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Look for furniture pieces in discount stores, flea markets, garage sales, antique markets that have interesting details and with a fresh coat of paint, you have a beautiful and unique piece to be proud of!
