What advice would you give someone starting this project? my motto is: Ask not what you can do for your machine but what your machine can do for you! It's still beautiful if it's done by machine or hand, either way...my shoulders could not stand the tedious work of doing all this by hand, so I have several machines helping me...either way it's getting done and I"m loving it.

I always wanted to make a "Dutch" quilt as I call it...the one that is all fancy and takes tons of hours and lots of work, and looks great on the wall or in a guest room that no one will ever get dirty...I had NO idea how much time this would consume, but I am enjoying every step of the way..I do have 4 blocks done...only 2 in the pics right now

thanks for the encouragement. I had NO idea it would take SO long to embroider/stitch around EVERY little circle and leaf and flower! WOW I don't even have ONE whole square done, yet! This might be my magnum opus! I might be retired and in a home before I see the final square done! (although I certainly hope not!)
