Pendant from Nepal (Nepalese Beads) made of brass, turquoise, coral and resin; Carnelian, Agate, Turquoise and Czech glass, Tierra Cast toggle clasp in brass.
What was your inspiration?
I am always inspired by different cultures and how they express their art. I had the good fortune to travel in southeast Asia in the 90's and while I was there, fell in love with the jewelry work I was privileged to witness being made. I also collected many beads and pendants while there. This pendant was purchased from an ebay shop called Nepalese Beads, whose proprietor, Eksha, offers the treasures I saw in my travels, very reasonably. I have been collecting beads for years and the right combination of them waited for this pendant to come along!
What are you most proud of?
The way the colors came together in this piece.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Trust your feelings and let your creativity flow.... do what you love, and play with colour...
