Patons Kroy sock yarn in Blue Striped Ragg (1.5 skeins); set of 5 US size 4 double pointed needles

What was your inspiration?

a pair of fingerless gloves i got for christmas; a friend asked me to make her some

What are you most proud of?

my first project with double pointed needles!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

i didn't make the thumb gusset in the pattern (just bound off stitches for an opening), and shortened the length of fabric that goes up the fingers.

These turned out great! It's good to know that you can just bind off the stitches at the opening for the thumb, I think that's what I'll do when I find the time to make a pair of these.

Thank you! I ended up really liking them as well. Binding off the stitches was way easier than dealing with the thumb gusset and looks just fine. My favorite pair of fingerless gloves has a thumb like this, so I figured why not? :)
