What was your inspiration?
I took a lace class from Portland designer Sivia Harding, who taught me how to bead. It made me want to start incorporating beads into my hat designs. The Beaded Angora Beret was my attempt to combine luxurious fiber with elements of jewelry for something entirely different.
What are you most proud of?
I'm happy with the colors and the subtlety of the beads that makes this beret feel so elegant.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Download a Cratsy Knit Lab course by Stephanie Japel if you've never knit a hat before. I think that is good foundation.
