Instructions

This would make a great video tutorial because the written instructions might be hard to interpret. Will see if I can get it on my blog soon.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Casual, Traditional, Mod

Materials

Hi-lo polyester thread I found at Hobby Lobby, beads, beads and more beads! Crochet hook

What was your inspiration?

I LOVE texture and saw something similar done in wire but not nearly as "encrusted" as these have turned out to be. I needed a portable project to take as I traveled so this turned out to be perfect for me!

What are you most proud of?

Its always fun to get oouus and aahhs! I think that, and the fact that I have friends constantly asking me to teach them this technique, has been rewarding.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Collect tons of beads! I love how the tear dropped beads stand up and are great filler for this bracelet. Make sure your beads are too big, that gets difficult anchoring them in the fabric you create with your crochet stitches.

I used Hi Lo Nylon thread, strung about 2-3 yards of beads, then started crocheting. Again, I probably need to get a video tutorial up on how to do it, its freeform but a tad complicated to put into writing. Thanks for the positive input!

I would LOVE to learn how to do this! Would you do it as a class?
