What materials did you use? This is my second quilt where I thoroughly enjoyed EMRACING THE RANDOMNESS from Elizabeth Hartman?s INSPIRED MODERN QUILTS Scattered Squares design. I also used her backing technique from CREATIVE QUILT BACKS by inserting a surprise piece reflecting the quilt top design. I have been working on my machine quilting inspired by Jacquie Gering?s CREATIVE QUILTING WITH YOUR WALKING FOOT class, where I combined a decorative Scalloped stitch and rows of Gentle Curves. I ran out of the cream color thread while quilting, so I switched to a slightly darker value thread for the scalloped waves. I actually was pleased with the thread color variation. I?ll probably give this little quilt to a dear friend who lives at the beach on the Delaware shore.
