What materials did you use? Standard quilting supplies. I had all of these fabrics in my stash and when I saw this course I knew I would use batiks! This is modeled after one of the instructor's quilts and is about 28" square.

What are you most proud of? Selecting the right colors and patterns takes me a long time but I enjoy the process. I think the final colors look very good together and am proud of that! Also happy the border worked out fairly well - had to fix a couple of those corners!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Enjoy it... also, I used a large piece of white felt to put the finished squares on and auditioned various combinations. I did this over a couple of days and took pictures which showed me things that should be changed. I think this process improved the quilt over time. If I were to do it again I would have some 1/2 moons - but for some reason I avoided them!

I love your color selection as well as the play of light and dark. An eye pleasing result. Congratulations.

Great job - a very calming, relaxing quilt in stunning colors and fabrics. Your curves are very good and I really do like the thread colors you picked for the quilting! Congratulations!
