Bath Bombs

Five Worked Perfectly

One Puffed Up

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Christmas Craft - Bath Bombs »

Instructions

Be really careful of the amount of liquid you use - I used peppermint food flavouring instead of essential oil for one, and added a few more drops to make it stronger, but the extra drops made the mix too damp and the bicarb started reacting, so I have one bath bomb that is tall and puffy and five that are nearly flat.

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Casual, Romantic

Materials

Bicarbonate of soda; Citric acid powder; food colouring & flavouring; essential oils; almond oil; herbal tea bags, bowls, spoons, silicon muffin pan

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to give some bath bombs to someone, but can't find any in the shops in my town!

What are you most proud of?

The delicious peppermint and rose smell in my house right now - I can just imagine how lovely a package this is going to make.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pack the mix into your mould really firmly and watch out for it being too damp - the ideal mix seems like it is going to be too dry, but don't add any more liquid!
