What materials did you use? I used cotton clothesline for these baskets. Fabric strips that are about 1 inch wide were woven around the clothesline and zigzagged them in place. One of the baskets holds a memorable piece of a horse's forelock. I embellished this one with a stone button.

What are you most proud of? The technique that I used to do this was so much easier than when I tried doing this before. I connected woven strips with a zigzag stitch while I wove each piece. I had the "needle down" holding one end of the clothesline as I wrapped. Then each wrapped piece was sewn to the previos wrapped piece.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I felt this was a great project for me to use up strips and other fabric pieces in my stash.

Hi The 4bird2. You are amazing! 4 completed bowls. Love the different color combinations and decorative features. You really rocked this technique.

Yes, it was so much fun, once I got the hang of it. I tried a heart shaped one today, not as shapely as I'd like. I'll post. Your beads could be a nice accent. I'll take new pics, I"ve added little ditties to these posted. Made any yourself?
