What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? Playing with depth of field is always cool. Best not to do it on a very dark, rainy day though. My camera struggled with the settings based on lack of light.

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? Nikon Coolpix P100 Aperature priority

I was supposed to do photos that showed changes in depth of field based on aperature settings (w/ all else automatic), but it was such a dark day my camera only gave me a very narrow range of f-stops to choose from. You can see a very slight difference in the clarity of the fence in the background on the two close-ups of the daylilly from the side; the fuzzier one was a hair lower f-stop than the slightly-more-clear one. I'll try again when the weather's nicer tomorrow.

Kick the ISO up a little on rainy or overcast days to capture more light... It will help with hand-holding the camera. :-) Rick Allred
