What was your inspiration?
I LOVE crochet and when I was starting out I was desperate for basic tutorials and guides. I am no expert but thought it might help if I wrote out a basic guide for making a simple rectangle as practice.
This tutorial shows you how to make a chain, how to make single and double (UK double and triple) stitches and how to change colour and fasten off.
What are you most proud of?
I'll be proud if this just helps one person get into the wonderful world of crochet!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be patient, it take a little practice and then all of a sudden it'll all become clear and you'll be away!
The hardest part is working your first row of stitches into the chain, please don't be disheartened by this stage! Once that first row is done everything becomes a lot easier, I promise!
