My mom sent me a big box of fabric that she had stashed and had used over the years. I used fabric from that and also fabric that I had in my own stash. Thread is the only other material needed.
What was your inspiration?
I wanted a simple, fun project to make for Christmas presents. Everyone needs an apron.
What are you most proud of?
I created my own pattern for this apron based on the things I like in an apron design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Find an apron you like and use it as a model for your pattern. Also, don't be afraid to combine odd fabrics together. The aprons I think turned out the best are the ones where the fabrics wouldn't typically be used together.
