This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quilting Big Projects on a Small Machine »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Girls

Style: Whimsical, Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabric, cotton thread, cotton batting

What was your inspiration?

A friend who fosters children asked me to make a quilt for a preteen who likes black, red and white and has a memory of once owning a Barney quilt. This is the result.

What are you most proud of?

Both sides of the quilt will bring joy to the recipient. I had made the quilt but was afraid to quilt it until I took the course through Craftsy.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

You will have to choose which side of the quilt to ignore when quilting since they were independent of each other. I ignored Barney.

This brings back memories. I made my granddaughter a Barney quilt when she was little, she is now 21yrs old. I like the idea of another quilt on the back, great colors for babies also. Good job.
