Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Bargello in the Round

Instructions

Designed by Cheryl Phillips. Need to keep very organized when choosing colours and cutting then out and of course for sewing. Must be in right order

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod, Holiday

Materials

All cotton materials with cotton batting and backing

What was your inspiration?

I saw this as a quilt class and decided I wanted to try something very different. The white background is not a part of the quilt. The quilt ends as a round quilt.

What are you most proud of?

The colours I choose and the complexity looking of the block by the colours chosen. This pattern uses a 10 degree Wedge Ruler

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose your colours carefully. Start with a patterned fabric for each colour way and pull colours from the patterned fabric. Keep a good amount of contrast so as to see the design properly. Take your time, follow the directions carefully and accurately. Once the colour ways are chosen, cut and stacked properly the quilt will sew up quite quickly. Cut accurately. Have fun.

Thanks so much, taking a class is what got me through this quilt. It looks very difficult but if you keep organized it is not as difficult as it looks.

Yes, from the book QUILTS WITHOUT CORNERS BY CHERYL PHILLIPS. She has two books out and this came from the first book.
